I am interested in mathematics as a social and cultural practice; my central focus within this broad area is on how the practice of mathematics is gendered. I'm also pursuing research on the teaching and learning of Indian classical music in terms of nation-making, globalization, and coloniality. More generally, I am invested in developing feminist epistemological lenses through which to study traditional and non-traditional learning.
