Andrew Moylan is an adjunct instructor of Music Theory. He is a candidate for a Ph.D. in Music Theory at the Graduate Center, CUNY, holds an M.A. in Music Theory from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a Graduate Diploma and B.A.P.S. from the Australian National University.
His dissertation in progress is on texture in piano music with a focus upon the eighteenth and nineteenth-century repertoire. His other research interests include Mozart’s output in minor keys; figuration, symmetry, and harmony in the music of Chopin; and musical styles, genres, and their subversion.
