Alison M. Rangel, MS, OTR/L is the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Occupational Therapy at NYU since 2012. She graduated from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a focus on Counseling and Human Services in 2003 and with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2004.
Ms. Rangel has worked in various mental health and acute care settings such as Bellevue Hospital Center and Mt. Sinai Morningside (formerly St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center). Prior to NYU, she also held an adjunct professor position in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Long Island University from 2009 to 2012 where she taught Group Theory and Process. Her interests are in mental health, fieldwork education, professional development, state practice regulation, and licensure. She is currently a doctoral student in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program at NYU.
