Social Development Intervention Support Specialist

As a Social Development Intervention (SDI) Support Consultant, Alessandra draws from her years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a self-contained, District 75 middle school in the South Bronx. Alessandra is dedicated to ensuring accessible communication and inclusion through interdisciplinary and home-school collaboration. Her extensive experience in individualized robust communication systems and strength-based therapy is driven by her passion for disability justice.

Alessandra is a licensed speech-language pathologist and a certified Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). She received her Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology and earned her Master of Arts degree in Speech Language Pathology from Long Island University, Post. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Speech Language Pathology from Northwestern University with an expected completion date of in March 2023.
