Rave Review for Piano Studies Alum

Piano Studies alum Milena Zhivotovskaya (Advanced Certificate in Piano Performance and Pedagogy '18) and clarinetist Louis Arques received a rave review for "Treasures of Jewish Art Music" at New York's Klavierhaus, featuring works by  Wieczyslaw Weinber, Alexander Krein, Grzegorz Fitelberg, Joseph Achron, and Jacob Weinberg, as well as the premiere of Zhivotovskaya's own Three Pieces for Clarinet and Piano.

The Ukrainian born pianist, who studied at NYU Steinhardt with Artist Faculty member Eteri Andjaparidze, has been a prize winner at the American Fine Arts Festival, Young Artist Piano and Composers’ Competition, ASCAP Young Composers’ Competition, and Composition in the Arts Program. She is presently on faculty at the Mannes School of Music.
