Graduate Students in Piano Studies engaged in a rich discussion with Grammy award-winning producer and engineer Silas Brown of Legacy Sound, who visited their weekly colloquy, discussed the evolving recording industry, and evaluated their proposals for recording projects. A leading producer of classical music, Silas Brown has won Grammys as producer of the Evelyn Glennie/Albany Symphony recording of John Corigliano’s Conjurer, and as mastering engineer of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s recording of the Verdi Requiem (Best Classical Album).
