Where were you born/where did you grow up?
New Jersey, about an hour outside of NYC. I always spent a lot of time in NYC growing up.
Where did you attend undergrad/grad school?
I attended Muhlenberg College for undergrad and received my B.A. in Psychology and Minor in Women's & Gender Studies. I attended NYU for grad school and received my M.A. in Counseling and Guidance (in the Applied Psych Department!)
What's your go-to snack?
Either apples or Levain cookies, and there's no in-between.
What's your favorite book?
I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou
What's your favorite movie?
Mamma Mia! I could listen to the soundtrack on a loop all day, every day, and never get tired of it.
What's your favorite music?
I listen to many different artists and genres, but Sara Bareilles has been my consistent favorite; she's a musical genius.
What do you do in your spare time?
I love to see shows, be active (very into running, cycling, and yoga), go to art exhibits, and explore different restaurants.
Coolest thing you've done/seen in NYC?
The sheer amount of productions being filmed on the streets of NYC that I have casually walked past is very cool.
Favorite spot in NYC?
Central Park because It's so versatile. I go there to run, read, and have picnics with friends!
One piece of advice you'd give to graduate students:
You get out what you put in! Use your time in grad school to grow and pursue your passions. Optimize your grad school experience by taking advantage of all the resources and opportunities offered to you. Make yourself a priority because this time is for you!
