The recording features four world-premiere compositions by two leading Black American composers: percussionist Timothy Kennedy Adams Jr. and Grammy Award-winning jazz drummer and NYU Jazz adjunct faculty member Lenny White.
The NYU Steinhardt Village Voices Ensemble, a contemporary and jazz vocal group, performed at Yamaha Artist Services in NYC as part of a special collaboration between WBGO and Yamaha's educational arm for Jazz Appreciation Month.
