Alisha Gandhi, M.S., CCC-SLP is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders. She is an alumna of New York University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from the Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders. She earned her Master of Science degree in Speech and Language Pathology with a Bilingual/Bicultural program focus from Teachers College, Columbia University. Alisha is licensed in New York State and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She also holds her certification as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) with a Bilingual Extension in Spanish.

Clinical and teaching areas of interest include bilingual speech and language development, pediatric speech and language disorders, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and bilingual assessment and evaluation of speech and language disorders.

Alisha has worked as a bilingual speech-language pathologist in the New York City Department of Education, as a provider of Early Intervention services, and in the private sector, providing monolingual and bilingual (English/Spanish) diagnostic and therapeutic services for children and adolescents with a wide variety of speech and language disorders and emotional, physical, intellectual, and developmental disabilities. She has served as a clinical externship supervisor for Speech-Language Pathology graduate students completing their school-based practicum, and as a supervisor of SLP Clinical Fellows working towards New York State licensure.
