Every academic year, the Office of Faculty Development and Diversity launches the Diversity Innovation Project grant competition for Steinhardt faculty.  The purpose of the program is to highlight new and innovative ideas around diversity, equity and inclusion from faculty and student collaborators that exemplify the future of education, identity, and demographic change in the nation and internationally.

The grants will be awarded for projects that promote programming related to awareness and operationalization of equity, inclusion, and diversity at NYU Steinhardt.  Faculty of all ranks within Steinhardt are considered. Projects incorporating student (graduate or undergraduate) collaboration in the execution of activities are encouraged.  Grant amounts will range from $500 to $5,000.  Interdisciplinary and cross-school collaborations are also encouraged although principal project director/faculty member must be from Steinhardt.
