Requests
All requests should be made via the Dean’s Apartment website and be sponsored by a department chair. Requests will be reviewed by the Office of Administration & Finance for approval.
During the months of January, February, and March, the apartment is used to house scholars who are brought to campus for interviews for open faculty positions. Requests are approved on a first-come, first-served basis for up to five nights although stays may be extended with the approval of the Associate Dean of Operations. Priority is given to guests who are here for an academic purpose (guest speakers, visiting scholars, etc.).
Charges
The cost for the apartment for internal guests (those sponsored by a department and here for an academic purpose) is $100 per day, plus a one-time $90 cleaning service fee. The department will need to provide an account number for this purpose.
Host Department Responsibility
The host department will be responsible for picking up the apartment key and confirmation materials from the Office of Administration & Finance prior to the guest’s arrival. Upon your departure, please leave the key on the dining room table in the apartment. The key should not be given to the Washington Square Village doormen or package room personnel.
