NYU Mariachi Violetas: Final Friday on the Patio

Fri May 01
2 pm - 5 pm ET
Espacio de Culturas, King Juan Carlos I of Spain Center.
53 Washington Square South, NYC
Cost:
FREE

Join Espacio de Culturas in celebrating Día de los Trabajadores with a special Patio performance by NYU's Mariachi Violetas (2-3pm) followed by a silkscreening workshop with Mobile Print Power (3-5pm). There will be cake and refreshments to celebrate the end of the year, and the final Fridays on the Patio of the season.

The event honors Día del Trabajador, or Workers’ Day, and anticipates Cinco de Mayo by recognizing the importance of labor and the vital contributions of workers in our communities. In collaboration with Mobile Print Power, a collective that combines printmaking with political education, we invite you to silkscreen. Materials will be provided, and you can also bring shirts, jackets, bags, other garments, or paper you would like to customize.

Event is free. RSVP is requested.
