The NYU at Weber Shandwick Masters in Residence program was designed for select MA students in the NYU Steinhardt Department of Media, Culture, and Communication. This unique-to-the-field diversity scholarship combined academic rigor and professional application to redefine the media and communications industry for the 21st century. It helped eliminate barriers to graduate education for historically underrepresented applicants while offering students professional pathways to succeed in a dynamically changing media landscape.
Partnering with global communications and engagement agency Weber Shandwick, this NYU program aimed to cultivate early professionals primed to enter the media sector, prepare them to be versatile analysts of global media, facilitate their advancement to positions of leadership, and address the clear need for diverse voices in the media industry.
The program is being phased out and not taking applications in future admissions cycles. To learn more about applying to the Media, Culture, and Communication MA program, please visit our program page.
