CSD Distinguished Alumni Award
The CSD Distinguished Alumni award is presented to a graduate of any of our CSD programs who has demonstrated extraordinary service or achievement to the profession and/or to the department.
The recipient of the 2025 CSD Distinguished Alumni Award is Dr. Julie Case. A bilingual clinical researcher specializing in pediatric motor speech disorders including childhood apraxia of speech, Dr. Case’s work bridges research and practice, providing clinicians with evidence-based tools to support diverse populations.
She has published widely, secured external funding for CAS treatment research, and received ASHA’s Early Career Contributions in Research Award. Dr. Case has also trained bilingual SLPs across the U.S. and South America and actively supports the NYU CSD community through the Dean’s Alumni Advisory Board and the CSD Clinical Master Class Series. We’re thrilled to celebrate her many contributions.
