Give TodayThe CSD Distinguished Alumni award is presented to a graduate of any of our CSD programs who has demonstrated extraordinary service or achievement to the profession and/or to the department.
The recipient of the 2022 CSD Distinguished Alumni Award is Dr. Charles Lenell. Dr. Charles Lenell was selected to receive this award for his contributions to the department with respect to teaching, service, and student support, for founding the LGBTQ+ Club, and for his advocacy for non-discrimination in the field.
The inaugural recipient of the 2021 CSD Distinguished Alumni Award is Dr. Keisha Lindsay-Nurse. Dr. Keisha Lindsay-Nurse, undergraduate class of 2004, was selected for her many contributions to the department as an instructor and as a champion of social justice, and to the field as co-founder of the Caribbean Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CaribSHA).
