Research description/bio: Nick is a first-year, part-time PhD student in Statistics and Computational Social Science at NYU. In addition to his studies, he works full-time for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as a Data Scientist. His research interests broadly center around applied statistics and causal inference. He is also interested in open-source statistical software development. Prior to his current pursuits, Nick spent several years working as a Forward Deployed Engineer in the tech industry, building data-driven solutions for a number of public sector organizations. He holds an M.S.E. and B.S. in Applied Mathematics & Statistics from Johns Hopkins University, and he previously did research in applied probability, specifically exploring rendezvous search games.
