Research description/bio:
Joey Haavik is a part-time doctoral student in the International Education Program at NYU Steinhardt. His research explores climate education, international study abroad, and the internationalization of higher education. As a first-year PhD student, he hopes to build upon his qualitative research experience mapping a climate literacy framework, which took stock of the ways in which climate education and climate literacy is discussed across formal and informal schooling, NGOs, and governmental bodies.
