Students celebrating at NYU's Commencement

2020 In-Person Graduation Events Postponed

The 2020 All-University Commencement Exercises at Yankee Stadium have been postponed, as have NYU Steinhardt's Baccalaureate Ceremony, Valedictory Celebration, and Doctoral Convocation.

Once we are on the other side of this difficult and extraordinary time, we will find a way to hold these events in person and properly recognize the Class of 2020. Read NYU President Andrew Hamilton's message about commencement.

Celebrate the Class of 2020

You’ve accomplished so much in your time as an NYU Steinhardt student, and we can’t wait to recognize you. As soon as it is safe to gather together, we will hold in-person Class of 2020 graduation exercises that will also include those of you who are only able to attend remotely. At this event we will call names and graduates will process across the stage. We’ll reach out to you with more information about postponed in-person graduation ceremonies as plans are made, so keep an eye on your NYU email!

For now, please enjoy our video celebration of the Class of 2020. While we understand that nothing remote will replace the experience of an in-person ceremony, we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to share our appreciation.
