The date for the All-University Commencement for the Class of 2026 is Thursday, May 14, 2026.
Important Details for Students
Ticketing Information
All Steinhardt ceremony tickets will be digital. Graduates will receive their tickets via their NYU email and should distribute them to their guests accordingly.
Doctoral Convocation: Tickets will be sent as a PDF with a digital barcode. Guests may print the barcode or present it on their mobile phone to be scanned.
- All guest tickets will be distributed the week of April 27, 2026.
Radio City Music Hall Ceremonies (AM & PM): Tickets will be accessed by your web browser and your login for MSG (powered by Ticketmaster).

Graduate Arrival Information
Doctoral Convocation: Please arrive at Pless Hall no later than 12:30PM wearing your academic attire.
Radio City Music Hall Ceremonies (AM & PM): For the AM Ceremony please arrive at 9:15AM and for the PM Ceremony please arrive at 2:15PM.
Please carry your academic attire into Radio City Music Hall. You may put on attire once inside before the ceremony begins.
What is Stage Pass (QR Code)?
STAGE Pass is NOT YOUR TICKET INTO THE theater. It is the unique QR code you will need to screenshot or print out and bring to the ceremony. STAGE Pass will be used and scanned when you are on stage at the theater so we can announce your name. Access your STAGE Pass QR Code through the TASSEL RSVP portal for graduation, and present it for scanning just before you go across the stage.

Each Steinhardt Graduation ceremony will be live streamed. Please visit this webpage the day of the ceremony.
Academic Attire
Academic attire is required for all candidates and graduates attending Commencement. Gowns and hoods are made of sustainable fabric, woven from 100% recycled materials. Each gown saves 29 post-consumer waste plastic bottles from the landfill.
