Int'L Ed & Cult Rela

Examination of educational and cultural exchange programs that disseminate information to foreign countries about a nation's policies, institutions, culture and values. Focus is on the development of international information programs, the purposes of exchange programs, and the relationship between government and private educational and cultural communities. Case studies are drawn from such organizations as the United Nations Department of Public Information, the United States Information Agency, the Council on International Exchange of Scholars, the Institute of International Education, and the Academy for Educational Development.
