Stan Tucker’s Broadway conducting/keyboard credits include Aida, Cats, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Love Musik, Jesus Christ Superstar, Mary Poppins, and My One and Only. Has has conducted the National Tours of Les Miserables and Cats, and was music supervisor of the Brazilian company of Cats.
His 20 year worldwide relationship with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom includes keyboards on Broadway, music direction of the German Company (Das Phantom der Oper), associate music supervisor for seven international companies, (Copenhagen, Madrid, Buenos Aires, Capetown, Mexico City, Antwerp, Stuttgart); and as music director for the world tour, he has conducted the show from Shanghai to Istanbul, Seoul, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Bejing, and beyond.
Off Broadway/regional credits include Fanny Hill (York Theater), Iolanthe at the Huntington, And the World Goes Round (Prince Theater), Evita (Casa Mañana), Pirates of Penzance (Weschester Broadway), 5 seasons as MD for Tennessee Repertory Theater. He has music directed new works for Playwrights Horizons, Goodspeed Opera, Papermill Playhouse, The Eugene O’Neil Center, and The New Harmony Project.
Stan has been an adjunct faculty member in the Vocal Performance Program at New York University’s Steinhardt School since 2006. He has been music director/conductor for six Main Stage productions, four Ala Carte productions, thirteen Industry Showcases, and also teaches in the Collaborative Piano Program.
He holds an MMus degree in piano performance from Indiana University, where he was a student of legendary pianist Menahem Pressler.
