Applied Psychology

Angela Fung is a national certified counselor who holds a New York State license in Mental Health Counseling.  She completed an MA in Spanish Secondary Education at NYU and an MA in Mental Health Counseling at Nyack College.  Angela is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education & Supervision at Regent University.  She is a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator as well as a Certified Therapist in EMDR.  Her clinical experience includes working with individuals, couples, and groups addressing a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, parenting, relationship issues, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress and disordered eating. Her teaching experience includes teaching high school Spanish for over 18 years, Research Methods & Analysis and Counseling & Human Development in the MHC program at Nyack College, as well as Practicum and Internship courses in the Department of Applied Psychology at NYU.  She is currently working on several research studies investigating spirituality, compassionate love, self-esteem, and self-perception of adulthood according to emerging adults.
