Katherine Jiménez is a multifaceted figure in the world of dance. Born in New York City, she started her dance journey at The Ailey School Junior Division and went on to receive training, teach, and graduate from The Ailey School and the Professional Performing Arts High School. The Ailey School provided her with diverse training in various techniques and invaluable mentorship from renowned teachers, choreographers, and dancers worldwide. With a passion for Mambo and Latin dance, Katherine became a prominent figure in the dance scene, training under esteemed masters of NY Style Mambo. 

Katherine has performed internationally, gracing stages such as City Center, The United Palace, Hostos, Radio City Music Hall, and Lincoln Center alongside esteemed artists like Tony Vega, Johnny Pacheco, Andy Montanez, Marvin Santiago, Willie Colon, Charanga America, and many others. She has also been featured in City Hall and at City Center representing the Ailey Moves initiative. In addition to her performances, Katherine has also served as a judge for the World Salsa Summit, helping fellow dancers refine their craft.

Having successfully earned a master's degree in Dance Education from NYU Steinhardt, Katherine is on a mission to make dance and movement tools accessible to all for mental, emotional, and physical well-being. To achieve this, she founded her own streaming platform, KJon2.com, which aims to support and inspire individuals of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds worldwide.

Throughout her career, Katherine has been featured on various media platforms, including PIX11, The New York Times, The Sherri Show, Cheddar News with Shannon LaNier, Latina Magazine, and Cuny TV. Her work has contributed to the promotion of Mambo and the Latin dance community.

Katherine's commitment to representation is a driving force in her career. Collaborating with Noggin x Ailey for a Dance Campaign was an easy choice for her, as it allowed her to showcase the world of Latin Fusion techniques.

As an instructor, Katherine takes pride in breaking down complex patterns to ensure students understand and enjoy them. She blends traditional and contemporary techniques. Katherine's passion for movement continues to drive her, and now, through The Ailey Experience Tours, she is traveling to various cities, sharing her expertise and spreading the joy of dance.
