Kerri Schlottman has been supporting the nonprofit arts and cultural field for more than 20 years in Detroit, where she is from, and in New York City since 2005. Among other roles, she has served as Director of Operations and Development at Apexart, Director of Institutional Development at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and, most recently, Director of Institutional Advancement at Creative Capital where she helped to directly fund artists across disciplines.

Kerri now works as a consultant providing fundraising, board of directors development, development staff training, organizational heath assessment, and other services to arts and cultural organizations across the country. She is particularly interested in alternative models of support, co-ops and collectives, and creative economy investment.

Kerri is also a creative writer who has published six novels, mostly recently TELL ME ONE THING in 2023 that combines her interest in art with her love of writing as it explores the relationship between a provocative photograph, the struggling artist who takes it, and its young and troubled subject.
