Sara Nichols is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Union Square, New York City. She specializes in working with adolescents and young adults on issues related to mood, anxiety, relationship challenges, identity, and adjustment. Her approach is informed primarily by training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Sara graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in History in 1999 and received her master's degree and a doctoral degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Clinical and Developmental Psychology in 2012. She completed her predoctoral internship at the University of Illinois at Chicago (Department of Psychiatry/Institute of Juvenile Research) and is an Adjunct Associate Professor at New York University College of Dentistry.
