Thomas Gold, Ph.D. is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Education Studies at New York University, where he teaches courses in education entrepreneurship and consulting. He is also an education consultant who has worked with diverse organizations, including Junior Achievement Worldwide, Digital Promise, and the Anti-Defamation League. Previously, Dr. Gold held leadership positions at the New York City Department of Education, where he led their external research office, the Research Alliance for NYC Schools, and the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), where he developed an assessment of youth entrepreneurial mindset. Dr. Gold is also an advisor for the Startup RebelBase, an online learning platform that supports social innovation. Dr. Gold's research and writing has focused on youth entrepreneurship, urban education, data use in education, public policy and European politics. He received his BA from New York University and his Ph.D. in Political Science from the New School for Social Research.
