Claire Pelofi

Claire is a postoctoral researcher in music cognition at NYU's Music and Audio Research Laboratory. Her research focuses on the cognition of scale structures by musicians and non-musicians, using a mixture of behavioral measures and EEG imaging. She is the recipient of the ACN Erasmus Mundus postdoctoral fellowship.

She received her master's degree in Philosophy from La Sorbonne and a second in Cognitive Sciences from Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris. She received a Ph.D. from Ecole Normale Supérieure in Auditory Neuroscience. She studied music performance as a violonist at the Conservatory of Music in Rueil-Malmaison.
