BM, Vocal Performance: Classical Voice

Our Classical Voice Degree provides you with the skills and technique to build a career on stage. The program combines a full scope of core coursework including Foundations of Contemporary Culture, Scientific Inquiry, Music History and Advanced Theory and Practice. In addition, program requirements include a range of specialized courses in vocal performance and classical voice including multi language diction and repertoire as well as dance techniques and acting for singers. One-on-one vocal lessons with leading NYC opera and concert artists are also provided.

Specialization Sequence

You will have the opportunity to perform in staged productions with your peers, which are produced by skilled directors, choreographers, designers, and conductors whose experience includes opera companies and stage work in New York City and abroad. You will also be afforded the opportunity to branch out and delve into music theatre productions and workshops. Additionally, elective courses in music technology, music business, and music education are also available to further broaden your knowledge of the industry.
