Global Study Scholarship

Also known as the “Global Pathways Opportunity Scholarship”

We believe that faculty-led graduate-level study abroad can significantly enhance your professional and academic training. To support participation in Steinhardt study abroad programs, NYU Steinhardt offers select candidates a one-time scholarship of up to $3,000 to be used toward the cost of tuition and the Program Fee for a Steinhardt-based graduate study abroad course or program at one of our global sites or approved study away sites. Recipients of this award can request to have their award applied to any term in which they are participating in a Steinhardt-sponsored study abroad program. This scholarship is in addition to any other financial aid a student may receive, and is available to incoming students only.

The scholarship is offered upon admission to a graduate degree program at NYU Steinhardt. Students who did not receive a Global Study Scholarship when they were accepted to study at NYU Steinhardt are not eligible to receive this scholarship.

Students who were awarded a Global Study Scholarship and who would like to use these funds must first apply and be accepted to a Steinhardt graduate study abroad program. Then, the student should contact the Office of Global Affairs to indicate that they would like to use their Global Study Scholarship in the coming term. Global Affairs will work with the Steinhardt Office of Graduate Admissions to apply the award towards the term in which the student is studying abroad.
