Dr. MacLeod received her Master's in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida, and her PhD in Counseling from UNC Charlotte, where she specialized in multicultural counseling and addiction. In addition to teaching at NYU, she also serves as an adjunct instructor at UNC Charlotte in the Department of Counseling. Dr. MacLeod is a licensed clinical mental health counselor in private practice where she provides counseling services to adults, adolescents, and couples. She lives in Charlotte, NC with her family.
