The Percussion Studies program held a series of virtual masterclasses, open to the public. Spring guests included Sandbox Percussion, Payton MacDonald, Eriko Daimo, Third Coast Percussion, Adam Kiefer, Matthew Strauss, Greg LaRosa, and Andrew Beall. Billboard included the series in their article “Watch and Learn: Stay-At-Home Mandates Are Fueling a Virtual Music Education Explosion.”
The Woodwind Studies program also held virtual masterclasses for students and the public featuring Pavel Vinnitsky, Humbert Lucarelli, Gina Cuffari, Soo-Kyung Park, and Paul Cohen.
Guests for the String Studies Collegium and Program Seminar this spring included Rami Vamos, Augustin Hadelich, Lynn Harrell, Nicholas Kitchen, and Alisa Weilerstein. Meanwhile the Jazz Studies Collegium featured Manuel Valera, Donny McCaslin, Peter Bernstein, and Erica von Kleist.
Dance Education also held a series of virtual master classes for their community. The series included Vinyasa Yoga with Allegra Romita, Dance and Music from Uganda with Herman Bagonza, Dance and Music from Uganda with Godfrey Muwulya, and Dance Hall with Michelle Cole.
