The Audio Engineering Society (AES) Board of Governors has elected Agnieszka Roginska, Professor of Music Technology at NYU Steinhardt, to serve as AES Director beginning January 1, 2026. An AES Fellow and Past President, Roginska has long been a leader in the Society, with previous terms on the Board of Directors and service as co-chair of the AES Event Coordination Committee. She will serve through 2027, continuing her work in advancing audio innovation at the highest international level.
A highly regarded researcher in immersive and 3D audio, Roginska’s election is a major recognition for NYU’s Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions. Her appointment highlights both her individual achievements and the global impact of Steinhardt’s Music Technology program. “I am deeply honored to have been elected to the AES Board of Directors,” said Roginska. “I look forward to working with my fellow Board members to support our community and contribute to AES’s mission of advancing audio innovation worldwide.
