This seminar examines the mediated historical trajectory of love, sex & God, exploring the performative & metaphysical basis of social practice.We seek not only to explore the ways in which these objects of existential concern are historical phenomena, but also how they are conditioned by the techniques & technologies of mediation.We will also explore how religion is shaped by material practices & how certain forms of social mediation are themselves religious.
