Graduate Projects in Visual Arts Administration: Art World Ethics

Description; This course examines traditional examples of ethical behavior in the American and European modern and contemporary art market and compares them to current, increasingly complex art business practices. We will analyze general concepts and specific situations in the expanded and interconnected global business of art. Students will be asked to consider which, if any, current business practices and concepts require reconsideration and how these may apply to a global art market.
