Saxophonist Rich Perry has been a member of the Vanguard Orchestra (former Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra) since the late 1970’s as well as a founding member of the Maria Schneider Big Band since the early 1990’s.
He has also played with Chet Baker, Machito, Bob Moses, Jack McDuff, Billy Hart, Eddie Gomez, Tom Harrell, and Harold Danko. He has released copiously as a leader since 1993 on Steeplechase Records.
