Scott Allen is a vocalist, writer, and administrator. He is a Dallas, TX, native by the way of Washington, DC, who was a part of the multi-platinum Grammy Award-winning gospel group God's Property. He has worked with such artists as Kirk Franklin, Patti Labelle, Yolanda Adams, Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder, and many others. Currently, he performs and records as a soloist and a background singer around New York City, sharing his talents in gospel and contemporary music.

Scott has worked at NYU for 15 years in multiple roles including the Registration Coordinator and, most recently, the Concert Administrator for Steinhardt's Music and Performing Arts Professions. Now he resides as the Program Administrator for the Vocal Performance program. Scott earned his bachelor’s degree in Leadership and Management with a concentration in Organizational Development from NYU’s School of Professional Studies. Scott's areas of administrative expertise and acquired music knowledge bring an exciting combination, supporting our students, staff, and faculty.
