Vasiliki is a Junior Research Scientist working under the supervision of Dr. Pablo Ripollés. She holds a B.A. Honours in Psychology from McGill University and an M.A. in Experimental Psychology from Concordia University. Broadly, she is interested in how music engages the brain’s reward and memory systems, and how these insights can be translated into clinical applications. She is currently contributing to an NIH-funded project that examines music listening as an intervention to support mental health recovery in stroke patients. She employs neuroimaging methods, including fMRI, as well as behavioral techniques to investigate the neural mechanisms underlying music-evoked pleasure.
