Carson Chodos (she/her) is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning at the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development. Professor Chodos brings over a decade of classroom experience supporting students with disabilities in NYC classrooms. She believes in the power and possibility of classrooms and worked with NYC Teaching Fellows to redesign and implement training for new Special Education teachers in District 75. Carson was honored to serve as NYC Public Schools first Director of Disability Culture and lead the work for Boldly Reimagining Special Education across NYC.
Carson received her Bachelor's degree in International Education from Hampshire College, a Master's degree in Trauma Studies and Education from NYU Gallatin School, and a second Master's degree in the Science of Teaching from Pace University.
