Ethan Meyer, MA, MT-BC is a graduate of the NYU music therapy program, and is a certified Nordoff-Robbins music therapist. He has a long history of serving the neurodiverse community in both therapeutic and educational settings, beginning with his work at the pioneering martial arts therapy center Once Upon A River. After working in special education schools and for music education programs, he spent several years involved in clinical work at the Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy before joining the staff in Fall 2024.
Over the past 15 years Ethan has founded and operated his own private practice based in Brooklyn, serving neurotypical and neurodiverse clients across the lifespan with a focus on pre-teen and adolescent autistic individuals and those with ADHD. He was an adjunct professor of music therapy at Montclair State University in 2023, and has been a guest lecturer at Brooklyn College, Sarah Lawrence College, and New York University. A primarily self taught musician, Ethan continues to perform actively on the drum set.
