Todd O’Connor is a Program Coordinator and the Creative Arts Therapy Supervisor in the Child Life and Creative Arts Therapy Department at the Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital. In his clinical role, he provides support to pediatric patients and their families as they navigate complex aspects of illness and hospitalization. His work frequently focuses on ICU care, post- surgical support, chronic illness, pain management, procedural support and end-of-life care. 

As a program coordinator, he oversees a graduate music therapy internship program; facilitates clinical group and individual supervision within a multidisciplinary team; develops research protocols that explore the impact and efficacy of music therapy within a medical-surgical setting; and nurtures collaborative partnerships that support the integration of creative arts therapy modalities in patient and family-centered care. Todd earned his master’s degree from NYU in 2006 and completed post-master’s certification as a Level I Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapist.
