Born in Chicago, Illinois, Gregory Polzak received his Bachelor of Music in composition from the University of Illinois where he studied composition under Zack Browning, Philipp Blume, Heinrich Taube and Erik Ulman and orchestration with Reynold Tharp. He received his Master of Music in composition at New York University in the Scoring for Film and Multimedia program. There he studied composition under film composer David Spear and orchestration with Justin Dello Joio. Gregory has worked on numerous projects including the Golden Globe winning Showtime original series Ray Donovan (Liev Schreiber, Jon Voight) and The Affair (Maura Tierney, Dominic West), and the Academy Award winning film Fences (Denzel Washington, Viola Davis).
