Josh Samuels currently holds the percussion chair at Beetlejuice The Musical on Broadway. He has played or subbed numerous Broadway shows, including: Aladdin, Miss Saigon, A Bronx Tale, Sunset Blvd, On the 20th Century, Jersey Boys, Nice Work if You Can Get it, Chaplin, and Godspell. He has also toured with the national tour for Aladdin, Jersey Boys, and Anything Goes. Joshua has played all three percussion books (percussion, timpani, drum set) for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular since 2013. He held the Timpani Chair in 2013, 2015, and 2021, held the percussion chair for the 2014 production of the Radio City Spectacular, as well as the drum chair for the New York Spectacular in 2016.
He is highly sought after as a clinician, guest artist, and lecturer and has presented seminars/masterclasses at multiple universities, including: NYU, Rutgers, Carnegie Mellon, and Temple University. Joshua has also traveled nationally with Exit 9, along with other organizations, performing and presenting at many schools across the country. Joshua is a faculty member at The Studio, a music school in Connecticut and he is a proud endorser of Vic Firth Sticks, Sabian Cymbals, MalletKat (Alternate Mode), and TreeHouse Drums.
