Julia is a 2nd year Computer Science PhD student in NYU's Music and Audio Research Lab (MARL) working with Dr. Juan Bello. Julia’s research interests lie in multimodal machine learning, machine listening, and the collection, management, and deep learning potential of large multimedia datasets.
Prior to beginning her graduate studies at NYU, Julia worked as a Data Scientist/Engineer at Sonos in Seattle, WA, where she helped to develop Sonos’ current data ingestion pipeline and analyzed large-scale product usage data. Julia completed her undergraduate studies at Northwestern University in Music Technology and Computer Science in 2018, where she worked with Dr. Bryan Pardo on projects related to the creation of singing voice datasets and related deep learning applications.
