Martha Moreno graduated from the Applied Statistics for Social Science Research program in 2018. After completing her degree, she worked as a technical fellow in the Poverty Research Team within the Mayor´s Office for Economic Opportunity, applying data analytics to build an accurate description of who is in poverty. She is currently working as a consultant in UNICEF´s Programme Division, where she develops data tools for monitoring some of the agency indicators used in the the annual report of the Executive Director. Her prior research focused on the role of social networks in the fight against poverty in Mexico. This Fall, she will be starting her PhD in International Education at Steinhardt.
