Nest Support Project

As a Social Development Consultant, Stephanie provides on-site and remote consultation services to support and empower Nest SLPs on their implementation of neurodiversity-affirming therapy, integration of clinical goals into the classroom setting, and collaborative practices as members of multidisciplinary teams. She shares expertise and guidance on the implementation of Social Development Intervention (SDI), Nest's unique approach to providing social communication therapy. 

Prior to joining the Nest Support Project at NYU, Stephanie served as a speech-language therapist at AIM Academy. There, she collaborated with an interdisciplinary team to support students’ social and emotional growth and implement neurodiversity-affirming practices. Stephanie also worked as a speech/language therapist in the School District of Philadelphia within autistic support classrooms. She is passionate about bringing an inclusive, strengths-based lens to social communication and centering neurodivergent voices.

Stephanie is a licensed speech-language pathologist. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Maryland - College Park and a M.A. in Speech, Language, and Hearing Science from Temple University.
