Patricia Ryan-Canedo is the program director for the Saturday and Summer College Prep Academy /1199 WorkForce Programs after serving as the director the Upward Bound Program, the first in the nation to serve students with disabilities. Prior to Metro, she worked at the NYU Rusk Institute with individuals diagnosed with congenital and neurological disabilities, Traumatic Head Injury and Spinal Cord Injury as well as in community based drug and alcohol recovery programs. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and holds a MS Ed in Rehabilitation Counseling from Hunter College along with advanced certificates in Management Development and Training, Career and College Counseling, Neuropsychology and Supervision.
