Paloma Garcia is NYU Metro Center’s Chief of Staff. In this role, Paloma provides operational leadership to NYU Metro Center in a collaborative effort to strengthen the overall capacity of the center’s various centers, programs, projects, and initiatives.
Prior to holding this position, Paloma served as the Director of Communications at NYU Metro Center.
Before joining the NYU Metro Center team, Paloma worked as the Program Associate at the Center for Educational Equity at Teachers College, Columbia University. Preceding her entry into the world of university-based research centers, she served as an Americorps member in Little Rock, AR, and Los Angeles, CA. Her expertise reflects nearly a decade of experience working with educational justice and equity non-profits in various roles including communications, capacity building, and direct service.
Paloma earned her M.A in Sociology and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University and received her B.S in Psychology and English from Santa Clara University.
