Melissa, Principal Owner of MI Consulting, an executive and career coach, and Co-founder of The Career Architect Group, a job search strategy consultancy, has a 20+ year career providing leadership and career development services.

Melissa’s view on the world of work is expansive and shaped by her experiences coaching individuals, teams and organizations in both corporate and non-profit organizations. Melissa’s professional experience at top tier business schools, including NYU Stern and Columbia Business School, gives her the inside knowledge and expertise to assist her career coaching clients in finding career success. Clients value Melissa’s whole-person approach and her ability to use humor and supportive candor. Additionally, Melissa's previous professional experience included working in global initiatives, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) recruitment, and educational marketing.

Melissa is currently teaching Introduction to Career Counseling and Vocational Dynamics, a course which prepares counselors to engage in career counseling and explores the relationships between career development and mental health, including the interrelationship between work, family, relationships, culture, and community issues. She enjoys designing and teaching experiential learning curriculums in leadership development and social impact. Early in her career, Melissa worked at AFS, an international educational non-profit, developing recruitment and training programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives and driving marketing campaigns.
