Music Business Program Administrator
Mary Park currently manages the Music Business program for both undergraduate and graduate students as the inaugural Music Business Program Administrator. In her role as the Internship Adjunct, Ms. Park taught and coached students throughout the year. During the Music Business summer program, "What Makes a Star," she lectures and mentors rising high school seniors, acts as a liaison between the university and some of the music business’s most prominent executives and oversees all performances, classes, field trips and concerts for the summer intensive.
Ms. Park has been employed by two of the three U.S. major record labels including Sony Music Entertainment, where she reported directly to then-President of Epic Records, Polly Anthony. In her role as Product Manager at Warner Music Group, she worked on the joint venture with Tommy Boy Records and Left Bank Management. In addition, at Left Bank Management, she helped guide the careers of numerous artists, including Blondie and Mötley Crüe. Her experience with music business technology includes serving as Project Manager at AT&T Labs’ digital music distributor, a2b, and her role as Vice President of musicmaker.com.
An active editor and writer, Ms. Park have years of experience covering the entertainment industry. She has interviewed and written about hundreds of musicians including Beyoncé, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Halsey, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Paul McCartney, Aretha Franklin, Cher, Mary J. Blige, Jay-Z, Sting, and Usher.
Ms. Park holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Maryland and is earning a Master of Science in Professional Writing from NYU School of Professional Studies.
