
Dean Wright oversees the Office of Institutional Effectiveness at NYU Steinhardt, which focuses on ensuring excellence in academic programs. She works with senior administration, department chairs, and program directors on academic planning (such as new course and program development and program revisions), institutional research, accreditation, and assessment and evaluation.
While at NYU Steinhardt, Dean Wright has also served as Associate Dean for Academic Planning and Enrollment Management and as Associate Dean for Planning and Communication, where she managed recruitment and enrollment, and planned and coordinated all integrated marketing and communications for the Steinhardt School and its diverse internal and external audiences, including the School’s common look and brand identity, its web and social media sites, as well as all print publications, advertising, and media relations.
Prior to coming to Steinhardt, Dean Wright worked as a consultant to the Dean of the NYU School of Professional Studies, assisting with special projects and studies, and served as a special assistant to the Provost for University Life at the University of Pennsylvania. She holds a PhD in political science from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in foreign service/international economics from Georgetown University.
