Kirsten Munro has over 25 years of experience in the non-profit arts and culture sector, with a commitment to building organizational capacity through strategically aligning program and fund development. She is currently Director of Development at Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC), where over the last 8 years she has increased the organization’s overall funding portfolio. Previously, she held development positions at Brooklyn Academy of Music, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. She began her arts administration and non-profit management career working with Czech and Slovak cultural and environmental exchange programs at Foundation for a Civil Society, building on her work teaching in former Czechoslovakia following the Velvet Revolution. She is also adjunct faculty at Teachers College, Columbia University, and in the Visual Arts Administration program at NYU. She holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and a BA from Pomona College.
