Jean-Luc Cohen Sinclair is a technologist, composer, and sound designer based in New York. He has been a pioneer in the field of game and interactive audio since the mid-1990s and has worked with visionaries such as Trent Reznor and the Scissor Sisters and companies ranging from Id Software to Royal Caribbean Interactive. He is currently a professor at Berklee College of Music in Boston and at NYU Steinhardt, where he has designed several classes on the topic of game audio, sound design, and software synthesis. He is the author of Principles of Game Audio and Sound Design published by Focal Press in 2020 and also goes by the artist name Sinclair 808 with several releases on the London-based label Here & Now Recordings.
